From Cardiac Pioneers to National Leaders in Cell Salvage
Intraoperative Cell Salvage (ICS) was introduced during the 1980s at the Central Manchester Foundation Trust (CMFT) and used during every cardiac procedure — a practice which continues to this day.
Over the last decade, the demand for ICS within other specialities has hugely increased. This growing need led directly to the formation of Haemoclaim Blood Management Service.
We recognised that to meet this demand, the healthcare sector needed not just more operators, but properly trained professionals who could deliver the highest standards of cell salvage practice across all surgical specialities.
